An SEO audit finds what stops Google ranking you

Want to know why your site underperforms on Google?
Our
SEO audit names every issue, ranks it by effect, and then fixes it.

An SEO audit is worth exactly as much as the changes that follow it. Most agencies deliver a 60-page PDF, invoice it, and leave the implementation to you.

taismo works the other way round. We analyse, we prioritise by effect, and then we implement. You receive a report you can read in fifteen minutes and a site that measurably improves in the weeks after.

An SEO audit is a systematic examination of a website against the factors that decide search visibility: Crawling, indexing, on-page signals, content quality, off-page authority and user experience.

A full audit answers four questions. Can search engines reach and index every page that matters? Does each page target a real search intent? Do the technical signals support the content or contradict it? And which single fix moves the most traffic?

Sites lose most of their potential to a handful of defects, not to a hundred small ones. A blocked template, a canonical pointing at the wrong URL or three pages competing for one query will outweigh fifty cosmetic warnings.

Only a site whose defects are known precisely can be fixed efficiently.

Four moments when an SEO audit pays for itself

An SEO audit is worth commissioning in these four situations:

After a website relaunch

A relaunch rewrites URLs, templates and internal links at once. Broken redirects and lost signals surface weeks later, when the traffic has already gone.

Your rankings fell sharply:

Rankings drop across many pages at once. A core update, an indexing fault or a technical regression each leave a different fingerprint, and only an audit tells them apart.

You are about to invest in SEO:

Budget spent on content lands on a site that cannot support it. Fix the foundation first, then the content compounds instead of leaking.

Your traffic has plateaued:

Nothing looks broken and nothing grows either. That plateau usually hides indexing waste, cannibalising pages or thin templates that a routine check never surfaces.

What our SEO audit covers

Our website SEO audit examines every factor that influences visibility on Google and in AI answers. Four areas, roughly 200 individual checks:

Technical SEO

  • Crawling and indexing: We verify that search engines reach and index every page that should earn traffic. Orphan pages, crawl traps, faulty canonicals and wasted crawl budget each cost rankings quietly.
  • Core Web Vitals and speed: We measure LCP, INP and CLS on real templates rather than the homepage alone, then trace slow pages back to their cause: Server response time, render-blocking assets or uncompressed images.
  • Mobile rendering: Google indexes the mobile version of your site. We check that the mobile HTML carries the same content, links and structured data as the desktop build, plus usability on real devices.
  • URLs, redirects and duplicates: We map redirect chains, parameter permutations and duplicate content, and check JavaScript rendering, HTML tags and meta information against what the crawler actually receives.

Off-page authority

  • Backlink profile: We analyse your inbound links by quality and relevance, flag toxic patterns for disavow, and benchmark your link gap against the sites that outrank you. Off-page work only compounds once the technical base holds.
  • Local and entity signals: For businesses with a catchment area we check NAP consistency, local findability and the entity signals that let Google and AI systems identify your brand unambiguously.

On-page and content

  • Keyword mapping: We map every ranking page to the intent it serves, then expose the two failure modes that cost the most traffic: Pages competing for the same keyword, and valuable intents no page covers at all.
  • Titles and meta data: We review title tags, meta descriptions and heading hierarchy against the queries each page actually ranks for, including the ones truncated in the SERP.
  • Content quality and depth: We assess whether each page answers its query completely. Thin pages, outdated claims and duplicate passages get flagged, and cornerstone pages get a plan to consolidate the traffic they should own.
  • Internal linking: A coherent internal link structure passes authority to the pages that earn revenue. We surface the money pages starved of internal links and the low-value pages hoarding them.

User experience and conversion

  • Usability: Navigation, readability and interaction cost decide whether a visitor stays. We test the paths people actually take, on mobile first.
  • Conversion paths: We check whether visitors reach the enquiry, the purchase or the booking without friction. Rankings that convert at zero per cent are an expensive way to be visible.

How we conduct an SEO audit

Five steps, roughly 5 to 10 working days depending on the size of your site. You receive the report in English or German.
1

Crawl, measure, gather data

Step 1: We crawl the full site with our own tooling, pull Search Console and ranking history, and measure Core Web Vitals on real templates. Crawl data alone explains only half of what happens.

2

Find the causes behind the symptoms

Step 2: We separate symptoms from causes. Forty flagged pages usually trace back to three template defects, and fixing the template beats fixing forty pages.

3

Prioritise by effect, not by count

Step 3: Every finding gets an estimated traffic effect and an implementation cost. You get a ranked list, not an alphabetical one, so the first three items carry most of the value.

4

Implement the fixes

Step 4: We implement. Technical fixes, template changes, redirects, structured data and meta data go live under your approval. This is the step most audits skip.

5

Verify the effect

Step 5: We track rankings, indexing and Core Web Vitals after the changes and confirm the effect. Where a fix underperforms, we say so and adjust.

Why choose taismo as your SEO audit agency?

A senior specialist runs your audit. No junior, no template report.

Our own tooling

We audit with our own crawler, built because the commercial tools kept miscounting redirects and image URLs. You get numbers we can defend line by line.

A report you will actually read

The report names the finding, the cause, the fix and the expected effect. Fifteen minutes to read, not sixty pages to survive.

We fix it, not just find it

We implement what we recommend. An audit that ends in a PDF changes nothing.

What a professional SEO audit changes

Indexing recovered:

Pages that were never indexed start earning traffic, often within weeks of the fix.

More from the same traffic:

Faster pages and clearer paths lift the conversion rate on the traffic you already have.

Cannibalisation resolved:

Cannibalising pages get consolidated, so one strong page ranks instead of three weak ones.

Ready for AI answers:

A clean technical base is also what makes AI systems able to quote you.
„An audit that ends with a document has done half the job. We hand over the findings and then fix them, because the value sits in the change, not in the analysis. Your budget should buy rankings, not paperwork.“

SEO audit FAQ

Frequently asked questions about SEO audits
What is an SEO audit?

An SEO audit is a systematic examination of a website against the factors that decide search visibility: Crawling, indexing, on-page signals, content quality, backlinks and user experience. It produces a ranked list of defects with an estimated effect for each one.

How do you conduct an SEO audit?

We crawl the full site, pull Search Console and ranking data, measure Core Web Vitals on real templates, then trace symptoms back to causes. Findings get ranked by traffic effect against implementation cost. A full audit runs 5 to 10 working days depending on site size.

How much does an SEO audit cost?

Cost scales with the number of URLs, the number of templates and the languages involved. We quote a fixed price after a short look at your site, with no hidden extras. For most mid-sized business sites the audit costs less than one month of the traffic it recovers.

Why is an SEO audit important?

Because search engines quietly stop sending traffic long before anything looks broken. Blocked pages, duplicate templates and slow rendering do not produce error messages, they just cost rankings. An audit surfaces the defects that no one reports.

What is a technical SEO audit?

A technical SEO audit covers the machine-facing layer: Crawlability, indexing, rendering, site architecture, redirects, structured data and Core Web Vitals. It excludes content quality and backlinks, which we examine separately in the full audit.
