What are anchor links?

Anchor links are a special type of internal link. Anchor links do not refer to entire pages but toindividual sectionsand are therefore also called"page jump links."To set an anchor link to a specific element, the element must be assigned aunique ID. The ID can be chosen freely but shouldnotbe repeated on the page.

Example of an anchor link to a specific heading:

A link to this heading would then look like this:

https://taismo.de/was-ist/interner-link/#ankerlinks

How important are internal links for SEO?
